This is my networking journal and educational workbook to track my road to Cisco certification.
This blog being public forces me to set personal deadlines and allows me to have revision material at hand where I am (mobile or notebook) allowing me to go over something when I have an hour to hand. As a side effect the blog forces me to have neat work (read everything over and over for errors) and a dilligent steady pace (don’t want to be a slacker).
A great benifit of using this medium is that it allows the ability to link to others who are more knowledgeable and in many cases have already attained what I am driving towards (CCIE). A sideline benifit is the ability to ask for comments and comment on others blogs which could be the next best thing to an actual class environment and peer review.
This blog also serves as a safe central storage place as I have always had a problem with personal computer backups and messages like “perform a backup before installing this program” that seem to have no affect on me. After numerous crashes, burns, reloads, data losses and other catastrophic events what I have learnt is I should farm out my important storage to someone that makes money out of making sure my data is going to be backed up and available when I need it.
In closing most of my study notes are collective mash-ups of different materials from Cisco.com, Cisco-Press, Websites, Blogs, My experience, people I have talked to, and Friends. These notes and this blog most certainly do not replace Cisco training partners, Cisco Press and other Cisco recognized training which I promise you I use and I won’t be able to go without or even be attempting Cisco Certification.
All source documentation carry some sort of copyright (Cisco training materials, Bootcamp training materials, Cisco Press Books) or copyleft if a creative commons license is used. I do not wish to infringe on someones rights (persons or companies). Anyone that has grievance may contact me to expedite a resolution of any problem (contact form below).
